$250 a day?

Would you like to earn $250 a day? Yeah, me too. I guess all you have to do is become a child of Octomom. Apparently this is the amount each child is getting to appear on their new reality show.

I was reading a story on the Yahoo! homepage about this. I guess California has laws about this so all of this has to go through a judge or something before the show can go on. It also says that the money will go into a trust which is good because you know that Octomom would probably spend it on something stupid instead of things for her kids. I guess I don't know that but it looks to me like she's probably had plastic surgery like everyone says and she may need more..

Anyway.. what is your opinion about this? I would really like to know. I personally don't think that she should ever be allowed to have that many children, I know that's part of our freedom here but that is just crazy. I guess I think the 18 Kids and Counting family is a little much but at least they had them one by one and knew what they were doing.

I just don't understand why these parents think it's a good idea to have their family life on tv for the whole world to see. Sure it's entertaining but look at Jon and Kate Plus 8, they're getting divorced. I don't think it's very entertaining to watch a family fall apart on tv and then to continue with the show. Don't get me wrong, I love watching Jon and Kate, but I don't think I will like watching it if I know that those kids don't have both of their parents the way they used to..

It's just sad, that parents want to make money off of their children. You know Jon and Kate would have never had that huge house without the show. They have changed so much since the beginning. They both used to work and they actually liked each other. I can understand it being extremely stressful, but they've just changed their life so much that anyone would have problems adjusting.

So, tell me what you think about all of this!

I agree with you 100%! First of all, I was a fan of J&K+8 from the beginning, but now its just a train wreck. It's weird too, because all along I always felt sorry for Jon and thought she was mean to him, but after he decided he wanted a divorce (I guess they say it was mutual, but he clearly is like a kid in a candy store now and she seems to be sad about it) he is on my last nerve!! I think the show where they announced their separation really put them into perspective for me. He is a selfish "I didn't get to have a life in my 20's" party animal who wants to chase girls 10 yrs younger than him and get drunk all the time and NOT act like a dad, and Kate sort of turned even MORE diva than she already was. I'm sure in the future we'll be reading about how messed up their kids will be. (Think Lindsay Lohan & Britney Spears.)

But Octomom? I have thought from the very beginning that she was nasty, weird, and has mental issues. Incidentally, I read the other day that Kate said (on Dr. Phil I think) that Octomom had mental health issues, and to retaliate, Octomom started slamming Kate's figure calling her "boxy" and dogging on her free tummy tuck and saying she (Octomom) looked WAY better than Kate and that Kate was just jealous of her. Because that's all anyone is focusing on here: Kate & Octomom's bodies. Not their kids. Regardless, I'll watch a few more episodes of J&K+8 to see how things pan out with the new arrangements, but I'm not sure it will be good. I will NOT be watching Octomom though! AT ALL! And I hope no one else does either!

I heard on Bob and Tom that watching Octomom was like watching a car wreck, you hate to look but you have to! So I think I would watch it just to see how crazy they all are.. which I'm sure is what they're hoping for!
